
Bernardo Pegas was born in Bage, a little town in the south of Brazil. He came to the United States in a scholarship to play college tennis. He graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas where he was majoring in Journalism with a concentration in Digital Film and a minor in Psychology.
Bernardo Pegas has worked for the Saints Sports Information Staff from Our Lady of the Lake University where he has produced, directed and edited one 30-min documentary called Saints: A Journey to Championship which was screened at the 2016 24th Street Film Festival and nominated for the Student Emmy Awards. In addition, he directed and edited a news package called “The Biggest Fan” which was also nominated for the Student Emmy Awards.
He has written more than ten news articles that were featured in the Lake Front News webpage and in the printed newspaper. Also, he has written, directed and edited two news packages that were broadcasted on the Lake Front Live.
He has worked as an intern for the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital where he has assisted directed and edited more than 30 videos for the web. One of the videos edited by him, about a young boy called Isaac, broke the record for views in the Christus Facebook with more than eight thousand views.
